Phoenix Dynasty: The Nintendo Wii U Experience
Over the weekend Nintendo revealed to select "Club Nintendo Fans" and gaming personalities throughout the Nintendo Universe about a exclusive event that they were having for two days only in New York City. It is called the "Nintendo Wii U Experience". For those that were not able to attend E3 to get hands on feel for the next generation console for Nintendo, the Nintendo Wii U Experience would give them a second chance. TriForce decided to record a guided tour of the event so share the social gaming experience and environment that Nintendo plans to bring to millions of homes this holiday season. Below is a 10 minute video of the Nintendo Wii U Experience. Enjoy.
At Nintendo’s E3 Press Conference Reggie Fils-Aime and Shigeru Miyamoto focused on expressing the innovative and dynamic power of the Nintendo Wii U. This was not done through the traditional “system specs” but through the way the Nintendo Wii U transforms how we play our video games as a whole. The design of the console along with its connectivity play of the Wii U Game Pad will radically alter who we socially interact with each other when we play video games.
After extensive play time of the Nintendo Wii U at both E3 and The Nintendo Wii U Experience here in New York, TriForce left us with his overall impression and thought about Nintendo’s next generation console. “If the Wii represents the next age in gaming for Nintendo as the Nintendo Entertainment System did for us back in the 80’s then the Wii U represents the Super Nintendo and its ability to expand on the great experience that the NES gave us. The Nintendo Wii U will do something for gaming that is long overdue. Through its intuitive and innovative design the Nintendo Wii U will revolutionize the genres in gaming. That is what a next generation system is supposed to do.” ~ TriForce

After playing a Real Time Action Strategy, Platformer, Action and Puzzle game on the Wii U, TriForce stated that although he recognizes the titles of the game he played the actual game itself was totally new and different versus the traditional style of gaming he played years ago. Can Nintendo continue to innovate at this level in gaming for generations to come? With there industry leadership and partners we will soon find out.
